At Little Stories, we envision a world where every child’s voice is heard and valued. This summer, we are thrilled to announce our new project, “My Story: A New Literacy Project for Upper Primary Students through Photo Autobiography”. This initiative is designed to improve literacy skills among upper primary ESL learners from low-income families and ethnic minorities with local students.

Project Overview
The “My Story” project combines the art of visual storytelling with essential literacy development. Through a photo autobiography approach, we aim to empower students to express their personal stories, fostering critical literacy and self-expression. By integrating digital technology with multimodal learning, we will help young learners build their self-identity while enhancing their English skills.
Why This Project Matters
Educational disparities remain a significant challenge, particularly for students from low-income backgrounds. Our initiative seeks to bridge this gap by providing participants with the tools they need for both academic and personal success. By encouraging self-expression through photography, we aim to boost students’ confidence and foster community involvement.
Anticipated Outcomes
We expect the “My Story” project to yield several positive outcomes:
Improved Literacy Skills: Participants will enhance their reading and writing abilities through creative expression.
Increased Confidence: Sharing personal stories will help students develop self-identity and a sense of belonging.
Community Engagement: The project will promote inclusivity and support within the community, encouraging collaboration and understanding.
Through the “My Story” project, we aspire to inspire change and build a community where every child’s story is valued.
